Raining like a half decent day in Ballymoney, we hit up the taxi man for a trip to our hostel. He said, “You don’t want to be going near that area guys!”

Well, she was booked up and we where heading for Van city’s Twilight Zone in Chinatown, between East Hastings and Main Street. Google it to find out the story!

Wee China man gets us booked in…false teeth on show in a cup on the reception desk and all. Sleeping bag action was the deal, dem bed sheets ain’t seen the inside of a washing machine for a while we reckoned!

We only used the place to crash, so navigated our way around the city all day for a couple of days, proper cool place it was. Headed Downtown, peeped the streets, seen some graf action, and tested out a few local brews on the regular.

Vinylist thought we’d make a shortcut from the hostel one morning, but seemed the crackheads rise early as well, fully loaded in new snowboard jackets, we where prime “spot the heads we can get our next hit off”, but some hot steeping seen us right onto the next block.

Met a dude from Stirling running the Westbeach store in an area called Gas Town, we’ll be seeing him again we hope for a few scoops and local knowledge.

We’ll be heading back to this Van City spot again soon, but for now the team is riding hard at Sun Peaks…
